The inaugural Irish Social, Community and Therapeutic Horticulture Symposium is due to be held on Friday 6th September ,9:30am-4:30pm at the LINC Building, Technological University Dublin Blanchardstown.

The theme for the 2019 event is 'Therapeutic use of Horticulture: Research, Practice and the Future'.

Our key note speaker at the event is Dr. Joe Sempik renowned Social and Therapeutic Horticulture researcher and author. A detailed schedule including the full line-up of speakers will be issued shortly.

 

 

This day long symposium will focus on practice in Social, Community and Therapeutic Horticulture in Ireland, highlighting evidence based practice and practice evaluation. The event will demonstrate the array of practice ongoing in Ireland through research, practitioner presentations and interactive workshops.

Conference fee Euro 45.00 ( Lunch and refreshments will be provided )

The Social, Community and Therapeutic Horticulture (SCTH ) practitioner network ( www.scthireland.com ) formed earlier this year includes individuals and organisations practicing in this area. The network aims to enable connections and practitioner networking, raising the profile of the practice and ultimately in the future form a professional body.
