TU Dublin Blanchardstown will run a Certificate in Data Centre Operations course commencing in October 2019. Designed in conjunction with Amazon Web Services, the programme is aimed at those seeking to work in the data center engineering operations sector and will provide the skills required to work in a data centre environment.

Data centers are the fundamental engines on which modern ICT runs. They give major ICT players the capability to deliver services world-wide 24x7. For a range of reasons including climate, available skills and available power, Ireland has become a major hub for data centers with many major multinationals having a significant data center presence in Ireland.

As part of their support for this program, Amazon Web Services (AWS) are making available up to 20 scholarships to allow successful scholarship participants to complete the Data Centre Operations Course free of fees (subject to terms and conditions).

Participants on this programme will have the opportunity to apply for 14-week paid placements in an AWS Data Centre in the Dublin area. Successful completion of the Course will place candidates in a strong position to compete for Data Centre Engineering Operations Technician roles in AWS Data Centres in Ireland. Successful completion of the Course will also enable participants to apply to progress in completing the Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Data Centre Operations and Management (NFQ Level 7) in TU Dublin Blanchardstown.

What our students say...

Monika Karaliunaite

"Basically the course covers everything to do with digital and online media. I had it as a hobby in sixth year but when I came here I learned so much more."
