ITB's Daughters of Charity programme has been nominated as a finalist in the Development in People CSR Award category at the 2017 Fingal Business Excellence and CSR Awards. |
The learners attend college full time for two years and have tutorials with the main body of students. The tutorials they attend are - Creative Studies, Drama, Art and Music as part of the college's Social Care and Early Childhood Care and Education Programmes; Sports Coaching and Personal Training as part of the Sports Management and Coaching Programme; Horticulture as part of the Horticulture Programme in the Department of Engineering; and Digital Media as part of the Creative Digital Media Programme. The overall objective of the programme is for the learners to secure lasting and meaningful employment. In order to ensure successful and meaningful work placements, all graduates and employers are supported indefinitely by Job Coaches from the Daughters of Charity Disability Support Services. |
This academic year will see the fourth cohort enrol for the programme. Our third group will graduate with the rest of the student body on 10th November 2017. |
Fingal Dublin Chamber organises the awards each year to create awareness of and highlight business excellence across all business sectors, private, public and charity. It celebrates and recognises the extraordinary talent, drive, innovation and success of the business community in the Fingal Region. |
