Cyber Security Camp with IBM at ITB for Second Level Students on 21st June

On Tuesday 21st June, the Institute of Technology Blanchardtown (ITB) will be hosting a Cyber Security Summer Camp. This camp is a joint collaboration between ITB, IBM Ireland and the Higher Education Authority (HEA).
This camp is aimed at all second level students.

Date : Tuesday 21st June 2016
Time : 9.30am - 4.30pm
Venue : Block A, Institute of Technology Blanchardstown



There are no special requirements for skills , it is a fully inclusive event that will enable all participants with the right level of coaching, training and guidance required for each individual to make the most of the camp activities.

Dedicated cyber coaches from ITB and IBM Ireland will be on hand to help students who are unfamiliar with the technology to engage with the activities, making participation fun and inclusive.



No need to bring your own laptop. A computer will be provided that will be pre-configured and ready to start into the cyber challenges.

About the Camp :
When students arrive to the camp they will be formed into teams. These teams will then be taken to their workstations. Workstations will offer Internet of Things (IOT) activities/puzzles and online cyber challenges. Students in the camp will compete to solve challenges and activities fastest. Points will be awarded to students that make the most progress or are the most inventive in their solution.
Students will all receive a goody bag upon arrival.
FREE Lunch will be provided for all students at set times. Times will be communicated on the day.
There will be several spot prizes on the day as well as prizes that recognizes student ability, team work and performance.
