Congratulations to ITB Student Abdul Abdallah ( Sports Management and Coaching ) on winning the Best New Project Award at the 2015 Beyond Sports Awards in London recently. The 2015 Awards shortlisted 39 projects representing 23 sports from over 60 countries.
Beyond Sport is a global organisation that promotes, develops and funds the use of sport to create positive social change across the world.

Abdul and his team won this award for their SARI ( Sport against Racism Ireland ) Project titled Hijab's and Hat-tricks.
The project was started in early 2014 to give young girls of Muslim faith to use football as a platform to ease their path into Irish society.
This project was enabled by SARI which is a not for profit organisation based in Dublin that supports and promotes social inclusion and positive integration through sport.

Abdul also had the honour of representing SARI last week as he made a presentation to the 'Against Violent Extremism' Network of the Institute for Strategic Dialogue in the UK as SARI prepares to become a member of this organisation.

Well done Abdul from all of us here in ITB.

"Basically the course covers everything to do with digital and online media. I had it as a hobby in sixth year but when I came here I learned so much more."
