ITB are currently recruiting participants for an EU learning mobility project. The project, "Passive Housing and Sustainable Energy technology using timber frame construction" (PHASE) is funded under the Leonardo da Vinci Mobility programme. ITB will send up to 80 participants from a construction background to KOMZET in southern Germany. Travel, accommodation, subsistence and training are fully covered by the funding.

KOMZET will provide a two week training programme utilising state of the art training facilities complimented by site visits to Passive House projects in the region. Four groups of 20 participants will travel in 2014, the first departing in May. The funding covers the category of People in the Labour Market (PLM) so unfortunately places are not open to full-time students or ITB staff as we are the sending organisation.

If you believe you may be eligible, or have family or friends who may be interested, further information and application forms are available on the ITB website at

Please contact Mark Keyes on 01 8851035 or Shane Walsh on 01 8851026 if you require any clarification

What our students say...

Monika Karaliunaite

"Basically the course covers everything to do with digital and online media. I had it as a hobby in sixth year but when I came here I learned so much more."
