ITB’s Year 3 Creative Digital Media students bagged the top three prizes at the recently held Blue Blindfold’s Don’t Close Your Eyes’ to Human Trafficking video competition for third level students. From a total of six finalists, four hailed from the CDM course here at the Institute of Technology Blanchardstown.
Tony Farrelly, Fergal Murphy and John Hyland won the first, second & third prize along with Sandra Lorres Torres, who was the fourth finalist in the video category.

The Blue Blindfold campaign aims at raising awareness of human trafficking and coincided with EU Anti-Trafficking Day on 18 October 2012.
The results of the competition was based on marks given by an independent judging panel (which accounted for 80% of marks) and Facebook voting (which accounted for 20% of the marks).

Have a look at the winning entries here.

Congratulations and best of luck from all of us here in ITB.

What our students say...

Monika Karaliunaite

"Basically the course covers everything to do with digital and online media. I had it as a hobby in sixth year but when I came here I learned so much more."
