Institute of Technology Blanchardstown recently welcomed delegates from the Hubei University of Economics, Wuhan, China when they came to visit the campus to further develop relations between the two colleges for academic collaboration. This visit followed on from ITB's visit to Hubei last April where both colleges signed a memorandum of understanding to facilitate staff and student exchanges. This September saw the first two students from China register at ITB for Engineering and Business and the partnership with Hubei will see even greater collaborations between ITB and the Far East.

Dr. Larry McNutt, Head of School of Informatics and Engineering, ITB said of the visit, "We are delighted to welcome the delegation from The Hubei University of Economics in Wuhan to ITB and hope this is the start of a fruitful relationship for both institutions".

ITB are committed to introducing their students to the latest technologies and providing a learning environment where the use of up-to-date and innovative techniques and equipment is the norm. To this end, lecture theatres and laboratories are state-of-the-art, and ITB aims to retain this leading edge as the Institute develops further.

"Basically the course covers everything to do with digital and online media. I had it as a hobby in sixth year but when I came here I learned so much more."
