So, what’s it all about?

The Technological University Dublin, Blanchardstown Campus (TU Dublin), is delighted to welcome you to study at our beautiful Dublin campus for a 16-day cultural immersion in the Summer of 2019, from Mon 3rd June – Wed 19th June
Our International Summer School offers a range of courses taught by expert educators and industry partners providing a rich and engaging international educational experience for students. This years programme has four pathways to choose from.

During your stay you will have time to explore vibrant Dublin City, a small capital with a huge reputation. Dublin has so much to offer, from the great outdoors and historic walking tours to its cobbled streets and classic pubs.

 

Programmes & Pathways

Our exciting credit bearing programmes equip students with a thorough grounding in their chosen subject. Each pathway is taught by academic and industry experts and delivered through a combination of seminars, workshops and action-based learning activities. All programmes also have a field trip allowing students experience their learning in a practical setting.
There are four different programme pathways for students to choose from:


 

Where will you be staying?

Accommodation for students will be provided in nearby campus accommodation in Maynooth, which is a 20 minute shuttle ride from the TU Dublin campus. The first part of your stay will be in the historic St. Patrick’s Campus in single bedroom accommodation with shared washroom facilities. For the second part of your stay you will stay in the apartment-style village within a 4 or 5 bedroom apartment and share 2 washrooms with your flatmates. Each apartment has a furnished kitchen and living room area. Free shuttle buses will transfer students from accommodation to their studies and activities daily.

Fees


The fee for the International Summer School is €3,750. Please liaise with the International Office in your home University to see if there are funding schemes or supports available to assist with the cost.

• For summer 2019 TU Dublin have a €350 bursary in place for students from European Universities. International Summer School Fee €3,750
• TU Dublin Bursary €350
• Payable by Student €3,400

A deposit of €350 of the fee is required to secure your place. Once your deposit is in place you will receive formal registration information. The outstanding balance can be paid in instalments before the programme commences.

Guinness Storehouse - Irish Business/Brand Experience
Cliffs of Moher - Wild Atlantic Way experience & dinner
Giants Causeway - Irish Myths & Legends


 

Entry requirements


Students must be registered with a Higher Education College or University in their country of origin. Our courses are taught through English. Non-native speakers must have attained a minimum of B2 in Cambridge English Examination.

 

How to Book:

Step 1: Speak to the International Office in your host College/University to see if there are any bursaries available to help support your trip.


Step 2: Register your interest and secure your place with a booking deposit.


Step 3: Seek information on VISA requirements for travel to Ireland and start your application process


Step 4: Complete the first instalment of payment by Thursday February 28th 2019


Step 5: Complete your final instalment of payment by Friday April 26th 2019.


Step 6: Complete VISA requirements and purchase your travel and medical insurance.


Step 7: Pack your bags and get to Ireland – SEE YOU THERE
