Key research themes/ interests:

Research into areas of language (French, German, Spanish and English as a Second Language);  Language Education and Literacy Development; Cultural Studies (French, German, Spanish, Irish); Intercultural studies and Diversity

Commercialisation Interests:

Education and Training in specialist areas of language, literacy, intercultural understanding, and diversity.

Personnel based at Language, Language Education and Cultural Studies research Group:

6 academic staff; 1 Postgraduate student; 10 postgraduate students engaged in taught masters level research

Sustainability plans:

  •  To continue to use student research as a springboard for further research.
  • To develop more specialised research in areas where academic staff have completed doctoral studies.
To target long term funding from European projects and IRCHSS funding.
