Accommodation

TU Dublin does not offer on-site residential accommodation to students. Please find below a brief guide on alternative accommodation options available to our students.

Campus Style Accommodation

This accommodation is purpose built to suit student’s needs. Each complex has its own layout but generally, students will have single or twin rooms and share a kitchen and living area. These residences normally provide 24-hour security also. This allows students to live independently in a well-managed and safe environment designed with their needs in mind.

TU Dublin has block booked bed spaces with a number of external providers of campus-style accommodation. These providers give preferences to TU Dublin students when accommodation is available, and providers try to place students of similar courses and campuses together.

Private Rented Accommodation

If campus style accommodation does not suit, there are other options to consider. You may rent a house or flat on your own or with friends, stay with a host family or rent a room in shared accommodation.
Details of private accommodation are listed on our Student Pad:

There are also a number of rental property sites for students searching for houses or flats to rent with friends or on their own. We recommend www.daft.ie which provides a student-focused search facility. Their search tool allows searches to be filtered by proximity to TU Dublin campuses and/or by transport routes.

Our Housing Guide offers information and advice for students wishing to rent accommodation. The Union of Students in Ireland’s Accommodation Guide also offers excellent advice on renting.

Please be advised that TU Dublin does not inspect or recommend accommodation and the University is not responsible for the accuracy of any information provided by suppliers.
