What a weekend of sport here in Dublin 15! We were delighted to host the Gourmet Food Parlour O'Connor Cup weekend here at ITB. This competition is one of the largest intervarsity tournaments in Ireland, which was played over the weekend to decide the winners of 7 different divisions.

In total, 15 games were played over the 3 days between ITB and Abbotstown. The weekend was a spectacle for all supporters as all teams put on a showcase of the high standard of ladies football at third level across Ireland. The final game of the weekend was a thrilling final between DCU and UL, DCU edging the victory thanks to a last-minute point from DCU captain, Aisling Maloney.

The winners were as follows:

Gourmet Food Parlour O Connor Cup - DCU
Gourmet Food Parlour O Connor Cup Shield - Queens University Belfast
Gourmet Food Parlour Donaghy Cup - RCSI
Gourmet Food Parlour Moynihan Cup - St.Marys Belfast
Gourmet Food Parlour Lagan Cup - Ulster University Coleraine
Gourmet Food Parlour Lynch Cup - UUJ
Gourmet Food Parlour Giles Cup - WIT

Well done to all teams that competed over the weekend and a huge congratulations to those who took home the Cups.

We would like to thank and acknowledge the many people involved in making this event the success that it was. In particular, the work of Ronan Keaskin (Sports Development Officer), Cormac Moussally and Andre Berg (Sports Development Interns) and the two ITB Sports Management and Coaching students Leah Bergin and Alice McNally, together with all the other volunteers.

"Basically the course covers everything to do with digital and online media. I had it as a hobby in sixth year but when I came here I learned so much more."
