Where are we?

ITB is located in Blanchardstown, Dublin 15, about 15km west of Dublin City Centre. We are about 20km from Maynooth Co. Kildare, 15km from Ashbourne Co. Meath and about 35km from Bray Co. Wicklow. Click the image below to view our location on Google Maps:

Travelling by Bus

 

A Shuttle Bus Service operates during the academic year between Coolmine Train Station and the ITB Campus. For full details on this service, we invite you to watch the video below:

 

Dublin Bus serves the Blanchardstown area, including the transport hub at the Blanchardstown Shopping Centre. 

From here, the ITB Shuttle Bus will take you directly to ITB. Please click this link for a full list of Dublin Buses serving the campus

 

The 139 bus route operates between Naas and Blanchardstown and connecting ITB, Ongar, Leixlip, Maynooth, Rathcoffey, Clane, Sallins and Naas, including Naas Hospital.

  • There are nine services each way, seven days a week, with first departures at 07:00 hrs and last departures at 22:30 hrs
  • The 139 is a National Transport Authority (NTA) initiative and will be run by JJ Kavanagh & Sons.

Express Bus operates route 801 between Dublin City Centre & Ballycoolin Industrial Estate via the National Aquatic Centre. See the Express Bus website for further information.

 

Travelling by Train

 

The nearest train station to ITB is Coolmine. This station is located on the Dublin/Maynooth/Longford/M3 Parkway Route.

The ITB Shuttle Bus operates a schedule linking the campus to Coolmine train station via the Blanchardstown Shopping Centre

Cycling to ITB

 

Dublin 15 has a good (and improving) network of cycle routes. Covered cycle racks, male & female showers & drying rooms are some of the facilities available to cyclists here on campus.

Staff & students can also avail of our Bike to College Scheme.

 

Travelling by Car

 

ITB is located near the Junction of the M50 and the N3.

M50 Southbound

Travelling Southbound on the M50 take Exit 6 for Blanchardstown/ Navan/ Cavan (N3). Follow the slip road and take N3 towards Navan/Cavan. Travel straight along  N3 (through 2 sets of traffic lights) and take the second slip road for the Blanchardstown Town Centre.

At the top of the slip road, take a right (follow Institute of Technology road sign) and travel along this road to the next roundabout & take the 1st exit which is the entrance to the ITB campus.

M50 Northbound

Travelling Northbound on the M50 take Exit 6 for Blanchardstown/ Navan/ Cavan (N3). Follow the slip road & take N3 towards Navan/Cavan. Travel straight along N3 (through 2 sets of traffic lights) and take the second slip road for the Blanchardstown Town Centre.

At the top of the slip road, take a right (follow Institute of Technology road sign) and travel along this road to the next roundabout & take the 1st exit which is the entrance to the ITB campus.

Travelling from the City Centre

Head for the N3 (main Navan/Cavan road). The first roundabout you will come to is at the Halfway House Pub (on the right hand side). Go straight through the roundabout continuing on the N3. Travel straight along N3 through a set of traffic lights (Travelodge Hotel will be on the right hand side). The next roundabout is the M50 roundabout. Again go directly through, continuing on the N3. Travel straight along N3 (through 2 sets of traffic lights).

Take the second slip road for the Blanchardstown Town Centre. At the top of the slip road, take a right (follow Institute of Technology road sign) and travel along this road to the next roundabout & take the 1st exit which is the entrance to the ITB campus.

Travelling along the N3 take the slip road for the Blanchardstown Town Centre. When you reach the top of the slip road, turn right. Continue straight for a short distance and turn left (at the traffic lights) on to Blanchardstown Road North. Travel along this road for approx. 1 mile to the next roundabout & take the 1st exit  which is the entrance to the ITB campus.
